Tamreen Jahan, from Bhinga in Shravasti, Uttar Pradesh, was born with a speech and hearing disability and grew up in a family struggling with poverty. These challenges prevented her from continuing her education, and as she grew older, she often felt left behind.
Her life changed when she found support from the GiftAbled Foundation. Recognizing her potential, the foundation encouraged her to learn garment making — a skill she had never imagined mastering.
Today, Tamreen stitches a wide range of garments, from uniforms to bags, proudly showcasing both her craftsmanship and her newfound confidence
